We Made It: 2019 Wrap Up

Learnings and ideas were taken from paper to action — this is how the year 2019 can be summarized for us here in RYDE. We learned that focus is essential: we worked full energy on our Post-Licensing Platform, having the whole team working hands-on with creating cases, regardless of each one’s role. Looking back at this year, we achieved significant milestones in terms of the team, communications, product development, and client base that improved at a much larger scale.

A Good Team Is What It Takes

To achieve anything in life, you must have the right people by your side. A team of over 15 nationalities is both a challenge and a blessing. With such diversity, we have the best of each background put together — we find unity in our diversity to build our company culture. Regular team-building exercises and workshops have been supporting us in unifying our voice and leading us to a strong foundation.

Communicating Our Mission

Through the mediums of various social media channels, we enhanced our digital presence, producing content, and building a community based on creating real and meaningful relationships — our growth has been organic for the entire 2019.

We had the opportunity to share our company’s vision in relevant and exciting events, such as the Berlin Photo Week 2019 — one of the most significant photo events in Europe, bringing 30.000 people together this year. Our CPO, Philipp Köhn, guided the audience through the great possibilities brought by post-licensing to the photography community. We also participated in the Impact CEE 2019, one of the largest fin-tech conferences in Europe, where our CEO Jan Denecke represented RYDE, discussing the changes in the image economy as a keynote speaker.

Besides that, our Communication Department is involved with regular academic projects with Macromedia University of Applied Sciences, currently managing the creation of full global digital marketing campaigns. It is fantastic to partner up with creative and fresh minds. And we will continue to do so.

More Of You, More Of Us

This year, we increased our sales efforts. An established Sales and Client Management department provided regular onboardings of various clients along with providing them with full personal support from our client managers. Alongside this, we also had our partnership with Image Protect, which has been great in directing us customers and strengthen our market position in the USA.

We are now actively functional in more than 30 countries.

A Better Product For A Better Service

Providing a service requires more than having a platform ready. It is also about optimizing not only the product but also structure and internal processes. Our IT and Development team made sure to keep the systems running and supported us with ongoing updates and product improvement. Enabling the chat feature on the website, more agile and smarter web-crawlers, and enhanced our case curation system making sure to propose only the best cases to our clients.

We started making money from the first month we started offering our service. And we keep growing further — we are entering a new business partnership in Jan2020, which will boost our product development and improvement making sure to increase automatization and scalability.

To A Brighter And Bigger 2020

In every challenge faced, the management team worked very hard to overcome it by fundraising and seeking the right partners, along with building a strong team.

Now, the results from our non-stop efforts from 2019 are going to be more even more visible in the year to come. We are heading to 2020 with a great foundation and exciting business news.
